Google Pixel 4 5G: The Uncertainty Of The Launch
Google is going to hold a Pixel event in New York next Tuesday on October 15. This event is earmarked for the tech giant to showcase its Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, along with other products like Google Home smart speakers and its smart home Nest Line. However, it is a big doubt whether or not the company will be unveiling its Google Pixel 5G. While it might have gotten into test production, it is possible that Google will delay its unveiling until Spring of next year. Along with that, a budget Pixel smartphone is set to be launched.
But even if it does delay the launch until next Spring, Google will still be able to beat Apple to release its first 5G device. As we know, Apple has reserved its 2020 iPhone line up to showcase their version of 5G technology to the world by ditching the 5G variant of the iPhone 11 Pro this year. On top of that, a Goldman Sachs analyst has come out to say that the 5G iPhone might not be as impressive to the customers as it seems. With companies like One Plus coming up with 5G variants of its flagship smartphones already, the race for 5G smartphones seems to be heating up just at the right time.
Is Even 2020 Too Soon For 5G?
Smartphone companies seem bullish about the 5G adoption in 2020. But independent reports portray a completely different picture. It’s going to take another 6 years for 5G to be used by 15% of total smartphone users.
