Judicial remand of Khwaja Saad Rafique’s has been extended till December 23
In the Paragon Housing case, Lahore’s accountability court extended the judicial remand of Khwaja Saad Rafiq and Khwaja Salman Rafiq on Monday.
He will remain in judicial custody until December 23.
Judge Jawadul Hassan heard the case on Monday. During the hearing, Saad Rafiq said that it is the right of every person to run an open court case, but his case has been closed. Reporters are not allowed to go to the courtroom, he said.
He said that the truth was being hidden from the people. He alleged that the police prevented court representatives, lawyers and supporters from entering the courtroom at all times. The judge then ordered that reporters and lawyers be allowed in court.
If you can’t handle the security here, I’ll call the Rangers, said Judge Hassan.
The court also approved Saad Rafiq’s request to attend the National Assembly meeting. It extended his remand until December 23.
